I was the very first guest at the Hideout Lightroom Bali and it was pure magic. I always wanted to go to the Hideout but it never matched my dates and when I saw that they built a new building called the Hideout Lightroom Bali I was quick with my booking.
Bali can be very hectic with all the motorbikes and during peak season there are many tourists so it get’s even busier. That’s why I booked the Hideout Lightroom Bali – to have some quiet time and experience a real jungle getaway.
Location
The Hideout Lightroom Bali is a 2.5 hours car-ride from Seminyak ( and 1h from Ubud) located in a village just near Selat.
Enjoy the ride because you will experience the real Bali with beautiful rice paddies and no tourists.
The place itself is opposite at a river, which makes it even more magical, but also a place where mosquitos like to be. Read my article about dengue fever here.
The space
The Hideout Lightroom Bali is an Eco-building created only with bamboo. Everything is handcrafted by local workers from the village. It is called Lightroom for a reason it is flushed with light which makes it so beautiful.
My favorite part was the outdoor shower – don’t worry everything is covered with bamboo. You wake up in the morning while listening to the river and you can have your shower right under the sunny sky surrounded by the jungle – pure Bliss.
There is a little corner with everything you need to make yourself a breakfast. The Hideout Lightroom Bali provided us with fresh toast, peanut butter, and bananas. We also got coffee and tea – what else do you need?
Sipping your morning coffee in the jungle is an experience I always wanted to do. There are no other houses (and lucky for me no roosters either) so it is really quite and perfect to switch off.
Although I should mention that the river is sometimes used by the local village to have a little bath so don’t get scared. ☺
If you need to work at the Hideout Lightroom Bali you can, because there is WIF but I honestly just loved to switch off from all the technology and chill. They have also books to read – everything you need to spend a relaxing day.
You will also have the cutest little cat visiting you once in a while.
Area around
When you stay at the Hideout Lightroom Bali you will have access to a scooter for free which you will need to explore the landscape and if you want to go the next Restaurant “Great Mountain Views“.
This cute Restaurant has the best view on Mount Agung. I loved just sitting there, eating a delicious Nasi Goreng and enjoy the perfect view. It is also a great spot to take pictures.
How to book
Hideout Lightroom Bali on Airbnb

I highly recommend this place if you are looking for an authentic stay in Bali and especially if you care about our environment. The Hideout Lightroom Bali will show how beautiful it can be to live in a place that is completely handcrafted, sustainable and eco-friendly.
